Exiftool and Exiv2...
I check metadata with Exiftool and Exiv2.
Of course not all metadata are not yet backported properlly. But at least 80-90% of original are saved. I use Exiv2 to read original and DNG sdk api to write to DNG. In the future i will use Exiv2 to write in DNG, because Adobe sdk is limited.
