I would vote that version-editing and backup functions comes to 0.10.x series until the 1.0 would be released. I feel that it is important to allow photographer easily to select photo, make wanted edits on it and then push wanted versions (size, format etc) from it to wanted locations. So it would improve even more the workflow on digiKam what has got great steps now already.
