Paco working actually on next 0.9.0-beta3 release. Test packages are available at this url. Please report all compilation problems to the "digikam-devel at kde dot org" mailing list.
Over 20 bug entries in KDE bugzilla have been fixed with this release. Take a look at the current NEWS file for details.
Note to translators: internationalization GUI strings are now frozen.
